Dr. Edwards grew up in Newtown Square, PA (a southwest suburb of Philadelphia), with two younger sisters and no pets, yet decided at age 5 that she wanted to be a veterinarian. Dr. Edwards received her BA from Haverford College in 1986. She then moved to Philadelphia to pursue a degree in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, graduating in 1990.
In 1999, Dr. Edwards received her certification from the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society (IVAS). She was a former chairperson of IVAS' Continuing Education Committee and is a present member. She is also a previous House of Delegate member of the AAVA. , and is a current member of the AAVA ( American Academy of Veterinary Acupuncture)
When not working or sticking needles in everything she can, Dr. Edwards enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, riding her horses, walking, hiking as well as baking and eating cookies.
